OVERVIEW: Dr. Giunchetti coordinated the Research Advisory Center (NAPq-ICB / UFMG); He is the sub-coordinator of Cell Biology postgraduate course (Master’s degree and doctorate at Institute of Biological Science-UFMG) and is member of “Académicos Líderes en Innovación y Biotecnología”, which aims to connect industry and academia in Latin American countries, stimulating innovation and creating new businesses in Life Sciences (https://biolatinamerica.com/academic-leaders-in-innovation-and-biotechnology-partner -to-explore-key-industry-challenges-and-create-mechanisms-and-strategies-to-facilitate-solutions/). He developed and transferred the production technology of the LbSap vaccine, against canine visceral leishmaniasis, to Ouro Fino Agronegócio Ltda., develops technological projects for the improvement of the Leish-Tec vaccine and the development of vaccines against ticks in partnership with the company “Ceva Santé Animale”. Provides technological services to companies: Tecsa Laboratórios, Centro de Diagnostico e Monitoramento Animal Ltda and Vencofarma do Brasil Ltda Laboratories. He has experience in the development of products and processes against diseases of medical and veterinary interest, with an emphasis on diagnosis and vaccine clinical and pre-clinical trials, experimental models, adjuvants, drug tests, innovation and entrepreneurship.
